My Approach

Everyone has the ability, with the right help, guidance and support, to change what you can in life and learn skills to cope with what you can’t. My approach to hypnotherapy utilises Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) and Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) to help you understand how you think and react in certain situations, and what feelings are triggered by real or imagined events. That new awareness becomes the basis for changing core beliefs so you can see yourself and others in a more positive light.

Much of how we view ourselves comes from what we repeatedly heard or experienced growing up, especially when emotions were involved. (Think of the power of the media.)

Take a simple example: if you’re told snakes are dangerous and you see others panic, that reaction—combined with what you’ve heard—can reinforce a belief that all snakes are to be feared, even without a personal experience.

Talking with clients, I often hear statements such as: “I’ll never be able to do that.” “I always do this.” “I’m no good at…” However, these are examples of learned beliefs and labels we attach to ourselves – these can be changed so that you become more aligned with your authentic self.

Core principles

My aim is to help you see that who you are and how you respond isn’t fixed. Together we identify unhelpful ways of thinking, habits and limiting beliefs that hold you back, and replace them with healthier beliefs and practical skills you can use every day.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (evidence-based cognitive and behavioural techniques reinforced with hypnosis) and Rapid Transformational Therapy (root-cause insight and belief reframing) to support lasting change.
