My Background

I was brought up in rural Scotland and now live here again – after years spent across England and Wales following different paths in life. I’m a qualified hypnotherapist based in the North East of Scotland, offering sessions online via Zoom and in person.

Alongside being a wife and mother, I’ve gathered a wide range of life experience, including:

  • An HND in Agriculture and hands-on work with dairy cows and sheep.
  • Time as a qualified Personal Trainer, trained in fitness to music and circuit training.
  • Competitive horse riding across Eventing, Show Jumping and Dressage (affiliated and unaffiliated).
  • Twenty-five years as a Commercial Airline Pilot.

Quite a diverse mix!

Like everyone, my life has had its ups and downs (no pun intended!) and I’ve faced many challenges. Whatever life threw at me, I found ways to resolve issues and move forward. That’s not to say it was always easy or that I always made the right choice, much of it was trial and error and learning to take responsibility for the path taken – good or not so good.

Discovering the Power of Hypnotherapy

There were times I felt overwhelmed and wanted to understand why I reacted as I did in certain situations, and why similar patterns kept repeating. I decided to find out, to understand myself better and change those recurring reactions – and that led me to discover the power of hypnosis. Although a little sceptical at first, I kept an open mind, completed a treatment plan with a registered hypnotherapist, and was thrilled to notice how much better I coped under pressure.

Years of observing and listening to friends, family, colleagues and people from all walks of life gave me a strong desire to help others resolve problems, reach goals, and feel better. I chose to train with the UK College of Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) – an evidence-based approach – and later expanded into Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT).

I work within my professional sphere of competence and will recommend medical or specialist support when that’s in your best interest. If you’d like to talk things through, you’re welcome to book a free clarity call.
